      • About Equality OT

Respectful, person-centred occupational therapy for older adults across Victoria. Services are available in person or by telehealth through Support at Home or privately, with an inclusive and affirming approach for people of all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ communities.

        Our mission

Equality OT provides respectful, inclusive occupational therapy services for older adults across Victoria. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities and circumstances, with particular understanding of the needs of LGBTQIA+ communities.

We recognise that inviting someone into your home and accepting support can feel personal and sometimes uncomfortable. Our approach is genuinely person-centred: we listen, respect your privacy and choices, and work with you at your own pace. Nothing is imposed. You remain in control of the decisions that affect your life.

Our aim is to provide practical information, resources and occupational therapy support that help you maintain independence, dignity and confidence, while continuing to live in a way that feels right for you.

        Meet Tammy

Equality OT is owned and operated by Tammy Attenborough, an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience across the United Kingdom and Australia. After qualifying in the UK in 2003, Tammy has worked across community health, rehabilitation and aged care, supporting older adults to remain independent, safe and engaged in the activities that matter most to them. Since relocating to Victoria in 2015, she has continued to provide private practice occupational therapy services throughout the community, with expertise in home modifications, assistive technology, falls prevention, functional assessments and ageing in place. Tammy established Equality OT to create a welcoming, inclusive service for all older adults, their families and carers. She recognises that everyone's life experiences are different and is committed to providing respectful, person-centred support where people feel safe to be themselves.
